Zaho est une fille qui a du caractère

Zaho : premier disque d'or avec l'album Dima Zaho est née en Algérie, ses parents sont originaires d’Oran, la ville du raï. Son père était cadre d’une grande entreprise et sa mère professeur de recherche opérationnelle à l'Institut national d'informatique à Alger, Zaho a un frère et une sœur qui s’appelle Radia, Cette dernière a une voix très féminine, contrairement a celle de Zaho, qu'on prenait souvent pour un garçon x) Inscrite par son père à des cours de musique, elle apprend la guitare à 7 ans, elle reprend déjà le répertoire de Francis Cabrel. « J’étais la seule fille du quartier à jouer au foot avec les mecs, la seule à jouer de la guitare », se souvient-elle. En 1999 elle émigre à Montréal, au Canada, avec sa famille. Elle y découvre le monde de la musique professionnelle avec Phil Greiss qui produit sa musique. Avec Phil, Zaho se façonne un son.
